Flower Peddler ABC's
March 28, 2007
If you've not shopped at Flower Peddler, you don't know what you're missing! I was going to write a review on just one or two products but I couldn't restrain myself - I had to write about the FP essentials that you simple CAN'T live without!
And no, I don't work for the company (yes, my husband is their site programmer, but that's totally separate from my addiction to B&B products). I've not been paid. I am not being credited in any way, shape, or form for this review. I just LOVE the products and want to make sure as many folks as possible find out about them.
Plus, in an age of customer dis-service, Michele, the owner, is a total sweetie and a joy to deal with. Your order will arrive packed with as much care as if you were the Queen of Sheba. That's not something you see very often. And I happen to enjoy being treated like this - in fact, I think I may just nominate myself Cherie, Queen of the Universe. Hmmm... but I digress...
Grab your ice tea or chilled latte and pull up your chair. We've got some amazing products to cover. Enjoy. And don't blame me when your credit card statement arrives in the mail!
Aloe Facial Cleanser:
Got sensitive skin? Don't run to the department store for some over priced product chock full of questionable ingredients. Reach for this instead! A safe and gentle cleanser that is sure to become the cornerstone of your cleansing routine.
Bakery and Blossoms Soy Candle:
On a diet? Craving baked goods and sweets? Don't give into temptation! I am addicted to candles and these are divine! Super yummy scents like Lemon Poundcake (drool), Banana Nut Bread (oh, snap! delish!) and Blueberry Muffins (they'll swear you've been baking muffins!) round out a collection of scents that are sure to please everyone. Oh, and you'll likely be reaching for the cake after you've burnt the candle - they're THAT good.
Chai Tea Soap:
I adore chai tea. The sultry yet spicy flavors and scent never fail to put me in a good mood. So what better than chai tea scented soap? You'll be tempted to take a bite, but don't. It definitely smells better than it tastes! A few whiffs of this luscious soap and your day is just better. And if you're like me, you'll find yourself wandering into the bathroom just to pick it up and sniff. Yummah!
Death by Chocolate Gift Set:
I saw a t-shirt recently that said "chocolate - it's the answer regardless of the question!" I have to concur. Chocolate is the cure-all to anything that ails you. So, if it's great to eat - it's even better for washing up! Now you can get your chocolate fix morning, noon and night and all without gaining a pound. Until you've showered with a chocolate scrub, honey, you've just not lived. It doesn't get more decadent and delightful than this.
Extreme Creme:
Dry skin, beware! Here is a product that will have your dry, flaking, cracked skin a distant memory. I simply adore thick creams and this is divine. It's super duper thick and so very incredibly creamy. My barking dogs howl in delight when I rub this on. Never sticky or greasy, just smooth, soothed skin is left behind. One of my favorite products!
Fresh Squeezed Soap:
If you can't wake-up until you've had your morning dose of liquid sunshine, aka: orange juice, try this on for size! A fresh and zesty soap that cleanses the body and clears the mind. Don't be surprised if you break out in song. I just hope you can carry a tune!
Garden Bugz Parfait:
This stuff is great - like whipped cream and jello in a jar! Made especially for kids - young in age or young at heart. I'm happy to consider myself one of the latter. Who says you have to be 10 to enjoy a great product?
Honeysuckle Hedge Soap:
Something I love about living in the Arizona dessert is the scent of honeysuckle. It seems to hover over this city in an intoxicating cloud of fragrance. I've nearly hyperventilated on more than one occasion from over-excited sniffing out the car window... so a honeysuckle soap is right up my alley. Be sure to shower with someone around so they can remove your blissed out body from the shower torrent. It's just that good.
Ice Princess Glacial Clay Masque:
You know, being an Ice Princess isn't all that bad. You get super cool products named after you. Not that I have any knowledge of this... ahem. Anyway. An integral part of being a woman is facial care and for me, I've been a fan of masques since I snuck into my mom's toiletry cabinet as a young chick and smeared on Jafra all over my face to create the white mask you see in TV shows and commercials. (shh.. don't tell!) This is better. Much better! But it's still fun to smear it on and then reel down the hallway into the family room, moaning about not feeling too well. Ha!
Ku-Ku-KaChew Lip Butter:
:tap: :tap: Is this thing on? Oh.. it is! :giggle: Hi. My name is Cherie. And I'm a Lip Balm Addict. But with a name like this, who can resist? It's TOO cute! I'm totally in love with the name. And the Lip Balm. I love them both. You MUST get some of your own. Your collection won't be complete until...Hey! Get your hands off of me! What do you mean I'm disrupting the meeting! How DARE you accuse me of enabling others! I have the right to... stop! I want to go back in... I...
Loco for Cocoa Body Butter:
Here we go with Chocolate. Again. The elixir of the gods. Something that grows on a tree simply *must* be good for you, right? Well if you're talking about this body butter, the answer is a resounding yes! Smells great and feels even better. I love body butter. Cocoa butter. Yum. Hurry, get some for yourself before there is a run on the stock available!
Mocha Java Mint Scrub:
If you visit Flower Peddler you'll see the scientific reasons behind why scrubbing with coffee beans is such a great idea. That's real great and all, but who cares? It smells and feels great and that's what sells me! I want to make my every shower a time at the spa. I like to wash my stress and cares away and since I can't drink coffee, well then, I'll scrub with it. Nothing beats the heady scent of coffee and this scrub is no exception.
Neroli Blossom Daily Facial Moisturizer:
Ever smelled Neroli before? Well, you've certainly missed out. It is indescribably delicious and so very intoxicating. It's easy to see why high society used it to perfume themselves and their clothing. Neroli has been thought to help relieve tension and anxiety and using it in a facial moisturizer just makes perfect scents. Errm.. I mean sense.
Orange Hula Purse:
Yes, I realize this is not a B&B item, but it's just SO cute, I had to throw it in. This little purse just screams summer and fun in the sun. What a great carrying bag this will make for all the FP goodies you're about to purchase!
Prepped - Luxury Shaving Oil for Men:
I feel like I've been in a cave for my entire life. What with the facial cleansing oil I reviewed a few weeks ago and now this - amazing! But just because I'm clueless doesn't mean everyone has to be. Check out this shaving oil. Great concept and even greater product. And while you're at it, check out FP's dedicated site for men: Essentials for Him. Definitely "not your mother's skincare."
Rhassoul Radiance Facial Soap:
Rhassoul soap is possibly the most perfect facial cleansing soap in existence. It's helped with my large pores and helps keep my combo skin from the normal scaly dry patches I used to get. It is my opinion that every woman should own at least one bar of rhassoul soap - so go get yours today!
Satin Pumpkin Scrub:
My newest obsession is Scrubs. Sugar scrub. Salt scrub. Coffee scrub. Any scrub. I wonder how I made it to the age that I am now (yeah, like I'll announce that to the world!) without having used scrubs every day of my life. Anyway, I am now the proud owner of so many different scrubs I could use a different one every day of the month and not touch them all. It's kinda scary, actually. haha. But I'm just now getting into facial scrubs and this Pumpkin Scrub is super scrumptious! I won't say it completes my scrub collection because really, is there ever an end to an obsessive collection?, but it sure does compliment it!
Tea Tree Shampoo:
Ok - were you aware that a healthy scalp helps make a better head of hair? It does. For real! So help your scalp with this Tea Tree shampoo. Tea tree is great for so many things, I'll bore you to tears if I have to list them all here. Suffice to say.. tea tree shampoo = a really great thing!
Victorian Floral Oil Warmer:
The heckler in the back who keeps interrupting me, sit down or you'll be asked to leave. Thank you. Now like I've said so many times I'm beginning to sound like your broken record mother - this is my review site so I can review anything I'd like! And I will be reviewing this super adorable oil warmer. If you don't like, cover your eyes and ears until I'm done. Whew. Got that out of the way. If you're creating a spa in your home, you must have a candle burning (covered above) and it certainly wouldn't hurt to drop a few essential oils into a warmer to better create this soothing and serene Me Time. Here you go! With delicate flowers and a nice patina, you can't go wrong here.
Whipped Silk Creme:
Ahh.... more yummy goodness. When you go to purchase this, you MUST get the Whipped Cream fragrance. It's skin-licking fantastic and works great as light perfume. You'll feel like Cleopatra as you walk about your daily life, leaving behind the faintest whiff of delicate fragrance. I adore this product - and you will too!
Yuzu Cwazy Sugared Body Polish:
Flower Peddler makes some truly scrumptious scrubs and this one here is incredibly yummy. But fair warning - while it smells super yummah and leaves you glowing and smooth - it tastes really gross. Please don't ask I how I know. I'd hate to have to lie. Just take it from me... and keep it to the outside!
Zulu's Petals Soap:
Zulu's Petals - I just adore this name. And the soap (see the photo over there?) is picture perfect. I know it's tempting to not use soap that is pretty enough to just live out its life as piece of bathroom art, but you're really missing out if you do that here. So buy 2 or 3 - 1 to use and the other(s) to grace the back of the toilet or complete the countertop basket.
